CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Marcel Tremble

Marcel Tremble has 20+ years of overall experience in leadership roles in the senior housing industry, having served in multiple Administrator, Executive Director, and Vice President of Operation positions throughout the East and Southeast. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer for William James Group.  

Marcel brings to the team a wealth of knowledge and a successful track record pertaining to occupancy growth. Under his leadership, he has grown multiple sites to 100% occupancy.  While successfully increasing the census, Marcel has simultaneously decreased expenses. By focusing on occupancy growth and expense control, he has grown revenue by over 25%. 

Marcel holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration from UNC Charlotte as well as a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. He is currently a licensed healthcare administrator in SC and has held licenses in NC and VA.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Jimmy Justice

James (Jimmy) Justice, has served as the Chief Operating Officer for William James Group, since its inception.  Prior to joining William James Group, he served as Vice President of Operations for Maxwell Group/Senior Living Communities, LLC, where he was in that role for 5 years.  Jimmy has over 25 years of leadership experience roles in the senior housing industry. He has served as Administrator and Executive Director for numerous senior living properties. 

As COO of William James Group, Jimmy has assisted in the growth of the portfolio from the original two properties to the 11 that they now manage.  These include assisted living and memory care properties in KY, SC, GA, FL, PA, and AL.   His responsibilities in this role include working directly with ED and other regional staff to grow census and improve levels of service while controlling costs. In the past 2 years, Mr. Justice has successfully stabilized distressed properties in Elizabethtown, KY, Bardstown, KY and Lexington, SC. Each location has shown significant growth in Revenue and NOI. 

Jimmy received his BA from West Virginia University. He is currently licensed as an Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Administrator in South Carolina. He is currently a member of SCHCA and SCALA.

Kate Leach

As the Chief Marketing Officer at William James Group, and co-founder of KWJ Marketing, Kate Leach serves as the leader of all sales and marketing efforts for the company. With more than 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, and business development in healthcare and senior housing, Kate has worked with The Maxwell Group/Senior Living Communities, Pinnacle Living, Vi Living, Love & Company and Spectrum Consultants. She has demonstrated success in leading sales and client relations, tracking new markets and emerging trends, developing strategic partnerships and implementing successful business strategies.

Kate, who earned a bachelor’s degree in international studies from the University of Nebraska, is active in many professional associations, including LeadingAge National, Women in Health Management and the eMarketing Association Network. She has been a speaker at several Leading Age state conferences including Leading Age New York and Leading Age Illinois.

Darrell Tremble

Darrell Tremble joined William James Group in August 2023 and currently serves as the Vice President of Human Resources. Darrell’s academic journey includes an undergraduate degree from Wingate University and an MBA from Webster University, equipping him with the knowledge and skills to drive strategic initiatives in human resources.

Prior to joining WJG, Darrell spent 8 years as a Regional Recruiting Coordinator for Maxwell Group, where he honed his abilities in talent acquisition, workforce planning, and organizational development. His experience in senior living has given him a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the industry. Darrell is committed to fostering a supportive and thriving workplace culture at William James Group.

Misty Justice

Misty Justice joined William James Group as the Vice President of Clinical Operations in 2024. Misty’s years of experience as a nurse serve her daily as she provides support to onsite staff at WJG communities. Through various training initiatives and intentional support, Misty is helping to cultivate caregivers who are truly dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to every resident.

Vanessa Hodges

Vanessa Hodges brings over 15 years of experience in the hospitality and vacation ownership industry to the senior living sector. Throughout her career, she has focused on creating lifelong memories for owners and guests while maintaining exceptional standards of customer service. Vanessa has led diverse teams responsible for designing and delivering experiences for both prospective and established clients during the marketing and sales process. Her dedication and leadership earned her numerous accolades, including recognition as a top performer and achieving the distinction of leading a top-performing site within her company.

Vanessa began her journey into healthcare by earning a master's degree in healthcare administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. During graduate school, she completed an internship with a senior living community, sparking her passion for providing exceptional service in this field. Her extensive background in practice management, leadership, training, hospitality, customer service, event planning, and catering equips her with the skills and insights needed in bringing her career full circle and returning to the senior living industry. 

REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

Erin Smith

Erin Smith has been with William James Group since 2024. She was born and raised in New York State and relocated to Kentucky in 2015. Erin has a wealth of knowledge in the senior living and senior care industries, beginning her career working with seniors with developmental disabilities in New York, and then moving on to work as a receptionist in a skilled nursing facility in Kentucky. She has also worked as a CNA, Assistant Business Office Manager, Human Resources Director, and Admissions Director in the skilled nursing industry. Erin holds a variety of relevant certifications including Medical Assistant, Certified Dementia Practitioner, and Certified Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia Care Trainer. Prior to joining William James Group, she served as the Executive Director and Sales Director at an assisted living and memory care community in Kentucky.

Growing up, Erin spent lots of time with her grandmother who worked at an assisted living community, where Erin and her sister would call bingo for the residents, and help them with crafts. Erin has always had a passion for working with seniors and has the utmost respect for our elders.

With 12+ years of experience in senior living, Erin is a compassionate and knowledgeable resource to the communities she works with in her role as Regional Vice President of Operations.

REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

Glenn Ferrere

Glenn Ferrere joined William James Group as Regional Vice President of Operations in August 2024. With a rich background of diverse experiences in senior living, Glenn is a highly accomplished professional. He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in health care administration. Combining his education and 25+ years of experience in the senior living industry, Glenn is well-equipped to support WJG communities across the Southeastern United States.

Prior to his work with William James Group, Glenn boasts a wealth of experiences across the spectrum of senior living including as a Sales & Marketing Director for a senior living community; Executive Director and Senior Executive Director of Emeritus Senior Living; Executive Director of skilled nursing and assisted living in a 200-bed CCRC, as well as Executive Director of Westminster Memory Care. Throughout his career, Glenn has been responsible for training and supporting team members, cultivating community awareness, budgets, policy implementation, and increasing census for several properties.

Glenn enjoys spending time with his wife Bryn and their daughter Lily, as well as sports, movies, concerts, and playing golf, soccer, and basketball.

Maria Collier

Maria Collier brings over a decade of administrative and operational expertise to her role as Office Manager and Executive Assistant at William James Group. With a strong background in corporate administration, financial reconciliation, and executive support, Maria ensures seamless day-to-day operations and contributes to the company's commitment to excellence in senior living management.

Her experience spans various sectors, including senior housing, vacation ownership, and higher education. Prior to joining William James Group, Maria held key administrative positions at Royal American Management, Hilton Grand Vacation Ownership, and Full Sail University, where she was recognized for her organizational skills and dedication to customer service.
